What is yapping?
Yapping is talking a lot, informally and at length, usually while you are still working out what you mean. It is the raw material this app is named after.
The word started in the 1600s as the bark of a small dog, became a verb for human chatter, and was picked up again on social media by people who talk for a living or for pleasure. A "yapping session" is now a compliment in some company and a complaint in others.
What it means in practice
