€69 buys the app and every version of it that ever ships. There is no Basic tier with the good parts held back, and no renewal email waiting for you in a year. When a new version comes out, you already own it.
Before any of that, yapyap has to earn the money. Download it, record real meetings, read the write-ups it drafts. The trial needs no card and no account, so walking away costs you nothing but the download.
The transcription runs on your computer, not on a server I rent. Serving you costs me nothing per month, so nothing per month is what I charge.
That also makes the worst case boring. If I stop working on yapyap tomorrow, your copy keeps recording, transcribing, and writing. There is no server between you and your archive, so there is nothing anyone can switch off. Why I build it that way is in the manifest.
